WHAT A SEASON, RIVER MONSTER NATION! 🌊👹⚾️
The San Antonio River Monsters finished third overall in the Texas Collegiate League with a 24-18 record, ending the season just one game away from the playoffs.
It all came down to the final game.
Although the ending was not the one we hoped for, it does not take away from everything this team accomplished. Our players gave every ounce of energy they had—every drop of sweat, every bit of heart and everything in between. They battled through long days, road trips, pressure, adversity and countless challenges, but they never stopped fighting for one another.
Tommy and I could not be prouder of this group.
This season was about much more than wins and losses. It was about growth, opportunity, brotherhood and helping these young men take the next step in their baseball journeys.
We were incredibly proud to see two former River Monsters selected in this year’s draft, and we are equally proud of the many players who transferred, signed or committed to continue their careers at new schools:
Javier Diaz — Little Rock
Roman Trinidad — Utah
Jorge De Los Santos — UTSA
Logan Pruski — FIU
Bryce Wells — Temple
Dylan Bohlke — Navarro
Jake Ramirez — Grayson
Peyton Pierce — Northwestern State
Evan Janner — Pittsburg State
Brian Buchanan — St. Edward’s
Kade Shaw — Sam Houston State
Jake Pineda — McLennan
Angel Martinez — Lubbock Christian
Kamar Dove — Texas Southern
And there are so many more whose next chapters are still being written.
We also want to recognize our incredible interns, who were truly some of the hardest-working people in the league. They showed up, delivered and gave this organization everything they had. We could not have asked for a better group, and we are proud to say they were the best in the TCL. Your dedication, professionalism and willingness to do whatever was needed did not go unnoticed. May your futures be bright, and may you always know how proud we are of the hard work and heart you gave to the River Monsters. Forever Monsters.
That is what the River Monsters are all about—helping players and young professionals grow, creating opportunities and building relationships that last far beyond the final out.
To our players, coaches, interns, staff, host families, sponsors and fans: thank you for believing in this organization and standing beside us throughout an unforgettable season.
We may have finished one game short of the playoffs, but this team gave us a season we will always remember.
Third overall.24 wins.
One incredible family.
And a future that continues to get brighter.
We are proud of every one of you.

Once a River Monster, always a River Monster. 💙⚾️
