River Monsters Futures Program Launches with Three Select Teams Following 2025 Tryouts

The River Monsters organization is proud to officially introduce the River Monsters Futures program, following successful tryouts held at the end of 2025. The Futures program represents the next step in developing young athletes within the River Monsters family, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game.

From the tryout process, three Futures select teams were formed for the 2026 season: 9U, 10U, and 11U. Each team is led by a dedicated coaching staff committed to building strong fundamentals and competitive confidence.

The 9U River Monsters Futures team is led by Head Coach Munster, alongside assistant coaches Startz, Mooney, and Kernan. This group is set to make history as the first Futures team to hit the field, competing in their first tournament this Saturday in Zorn, Texas.

The 10U Futures team is led by Head Coach Rios, with assistant coaches Coach Brown and Coach Harris. These players have been putting in consistent work since tryouts and will showcase their progress in their first tournament on February 14th.

The 11U Futures team is guided by Head Coach Schwartz, supported by assistant coaches Vega and Paul. Like the 10U group, the 11U squad will also make their tournament debut on February 14th, continuing the strong start for the Futures program.

“We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and growth these players have shown in such a short time,” said team leadership. “The River Monsters Futures program is about development, opportunity, and building something special from the ground up. We are excited to watch these teams compete and represent the Monster name.”

The River Monsters invite families, fans, and the local community to come out and support these young athletes as they begin their seasons.
