San Antonio River Monsters Announce 2026 Schedule; TCL Expands with Two New Teams
SAN ANTONIO, TX — The Texas Collegiate League (TCL) enters its 23rd season in 2026 with exciting expansion and a new era for one of its standout organizations. The San Antonio River Monsters—entering their 5th season and first season in San Antonio—have officially released their full 2026 schedule, highlighted by the league’s addition of two new opponents.
The TCL proudly welcomes the Sherman ShadowCats and the Abilene Flying Bison as the newest members of the league. Both teams join the TCL this summer, expanding competition and energizing rivalries across Texas and Louisiana.
The 2026 season will feature a 48-game schedule, consisting of 24 home games and 24 away games. San Antonio will open the season at home on June 2nd, hosting the Sherman ShadowCats for a two-game series. After the opening homestand, the River Monsters will go on the road before returning to their home field on June 11th, 2026.
This year’s schedule will be split into two 24-game halves:
The first half concludes on Sunday, June 28th.
The second half begins the following day and runs through the final day of the regular season on Saturday, July 26th.
All Sunday home games will start at 5pm.
The TCL postseason will begin immediately after, with a TCL Champion crowned on Saturday, August 1st, 2026.
With new teams, new matchups, and a new home city, the River Monsters are gearing up for their most exciting season yet.
